RATEMYPOLI
Rating Methodology
Visitors choose an overall-performance score from 1 (very poor) to 5 (excellent). The headline rating is the arithmetic mean of approved overall-performance scores, rounded to one decimal place. It is not an average of the category averages.
Optional categories are responsiveness, communication, representation and follow-through. Each category average uses only approved reviews that include a score for that category. Unable to assess is excluded rather than counted as zero. We show the number of responses for each category.
Each approved review has equal weight. The distribution shows how many approved overall scores fall at each point from 1 to 5. Pending, rejected, spam and trashed reviews do not count. Removing an approved review recalculates the score.
Scores on a profile include its approved reviews across recorded terms; each review retains its term key. One submission per email per politician per term is enforced as a basic duplicate check. Email is not identity verification, and this control cannot prove one person has only one email.
Constituency and office-contact answers are self-reported. Visitor ratings are self-selected opinions and are not representative polling results. Small review counts should be interpreted with particular care.
